As part of your hire fee we include 30 miles of travel from Oswestry, Shropshire. But please get in touch if you are further away we are happy travel further. Often we limit to 2 hours of travel meaning if we are traveling on bigger roads we can go further.
Our minimum spend is £2000. In our experience this is easily surpassed at events.
Think of it this way, 100 guests need only all spend £20 each! As our packages suggest, some people like to put money behind the bar or pay for drink extras like the table wine or welcome drinks. these also contributes to the minimum spend.
With parties under 85 guests we ask for a refundable deposit of £500. This is returned on achieving the minimum spend.
We don’t have a standard price list as our whole ethos is personalisation. This means we are always changing our menu based on your choices. Generally our prices are the same as a regular pub, or cheaper. We try to aim for a pint at between £5.50 – £7.50 dependant on your drink choices. A standard sprit and mixer is £6.50. We will work with you to draw up a bar menu that suits you and your guests.
As we are mobile, there are no facilities to clean glasses. We supply biodegradable or recyclable glasswear for all bar and catering needs. However, if you choose our table wine or toast drink extras we would supply real glasses for these and collect them up after they have been used to avoid breakages.
In addition to the large stock we can hold in the fridges, we also always bring a van or our ‘cellar’ trailer that acts as a store room. In all the events we have been to we have never run out!
Absolutely, provided that there is good 5G signal or wifi available.
We would always advise you to encourage your guests to bring cash though. There’s nothing worse than an event where no one can get a drink because of a lack of signal.
Yes and we are licenced. If it isn’t Nick and Lily themselves we have a good team of very friendly staff who can serve all your drinks quickly with the minimum of fuss.
There will always be somebody present as a point of contact and we can advise on a Temporary Event Notice to comply with current licensing regulations, if no premises licence exists.
A typical wedding bar or private party bar sees around 80-300 guests and we can serve this many people with ease. We’ve got experience from festivals catering for thousands, so please do not worry!
On confirmation we will ask for a 50% deposit of the hire fee to secure your date.
This is refundable up to 9months prior to the wedding and 50% refundable up to 6month before.
Final payments are due 2 months prior to the big day.
We also ask for an additional £500 refundable deposit for weddings with 85 guests or below.
The Original Bar is a 7.5 tonne Mercedes horsebox with an indoor bar as well as a covered outdoor “lounge area” for any weather. Its not your average horse box, we require a space of 12m x 8m. Without the canopy option we can squeeze into a smaller space.
Amélie’s bar is your standard horse box trailer and will easily fit in a 3m x 3m area.
Tipsy’s indoor bar is a simple set up that requires 2.5m x 3m. It is also around 2.2m tall.
No, obviously if we can connect up that would be great as it reduces the noise at your wedding. Most marquee/tipi companies supply enough power from their generators to supply us without any disruption. But we can bring all the water we need with us as well as a quiet gas powered generator.
As an outside bar we get asked this a lot. Ultimately we can position the bar as close to an opening in your marquee or venue. We also come with umbrellas and both bars have covered areas too.
Remember these guests are your friends and family so they’ll still be turning up come rain or shine so embrace it and make the most of the weather. Often the best weddings and photos come when there is unexpected summer rain!
